Artist's Comments

My newest manip... I know it's not the fanciest thing ever, or very good for that matter...

But this time, it's the emotional outlet I was looking for.

I recently lost a friend I was very close to. Granted, it had been awhile since we last seen each other. You grow older, you move.... you start lives and you get busy. But, I loved him a whole lot, and I just can't believe he is actually gone now.

This is how I feel... taken over by such an emotional mess, that it feels almost like there is no hope. However, I know better than that... no one fear.

Time will pass, and the pain will not hurt as much. But for now, it hurts a lot. I feel a little better now that this is done.

Several layers here. The cracks and the darkness overtaking them was one hell of a process. I hope someone enjoys this, if only for the simple fact that it made me feel a tiny bit better.

Thank you, and thanks for the fav on this. It's really surprising how much everyone really likes this, because I really didn't think anyone would. It's definately a pleasant surprise...

hehehe . . . i wouldn't be too surprised . . . art isn't about being technical . . . it is more about the emotion expressed in it. you did an incredible job.

cheers!!

very powerful, it's great to see that the strongest power behind art, our emotions, can also flow into a digital artform.

Thank you a bunch, glad to see you are still around and about.
Thanks also for the fav on this, and on "I'll wait". It means a lot.

Hit up the main page on deviantart... and look under catagories for resources, and then tutorials. If you have photoshop, there are hundreds of tutorials for it, and they'll teach you just about anything you need to know. There are also tutorials online in random places, about photoshop basics. There are also other art applications that can be used as well, and if you have one of those, there are tutorials for that as well. There is a wonderful artist named Bert Monroy, and he has a website (definately look up his stuff) and a book out giving wonderful details for how he creates his artwork in photoshop. Once you work through his lessons, you'll be a pro. All his stuff looks real, or like a beautiful painting. It's amazing.

Hopefully I gave some good advice. There are tons of resources out there, and starting early will make you a pro by the time you are my age.
